Uhl's Jamestown Market Excited to Announce an Ownership Change
Effective December 16, 2019, Uhl's Jamestown Market will be known as Jamestown Market as it transfers ownership to Kevin Readshaw. Kevin grew up in Andover, Ohio in the northeast corner of the state and has worked in the grocery business for over 45 years, starting as a clerk and working his way into management. Most recently, he managed the Maritime Market in Bald Head Island, North Carolina, and after 15 years in that role, he is moving onto the new challenge of ownership. Having worked in smaller communities, he realizes the importance of a locally owned market and how it can help a small town flourish.
"It has been my dream to own a store, and getting to do so in my home state couldn't make me happier," Kevin says. "My wife Kandee and I want to thank the Uhl family for this opportunity, as we know they have been valuable members of this community and we strive to make this transition as smooth as possible. A friendly staff, a clean store, and making sure we are good advocates for Jamestown are the most important things for us, we are excited to get to work and to serve the Jamestown community!"
